Asked whether the Dems are lining up to protect former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at the upcoming Benghazi hearings, Rep. Luis Gutierrez said she doesn’t need political cover.
A State Department employee has alleged that sources close to Hillary withheld damning documents from Congress regarding the security lapse the night of the Benghazi attack, The Daily Caller reported Monday. (RELATED: Ex-State Dept. Employee Comes Forward With New Benghazi Cover-Up Allegations)
“Let me just say one thing about Hillary Clinton,” Rep. Gutierrez told TheDC. “She can take of herself. She demonstrated that at the hearings.”
“My job is not to protect a candidate or a political party,” he continued. “But to protect those wonderful, wonderful diplomats around the world.”
