Gurnee man dragged by car found dead in roadway, police say

GURNEE, Ill. — A death investigation is underway after police in Gurnee say a man was found dead early Tuesday morning.

Just before 3:40 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Dorchester Avenue and Estes Street on the report of an unresponsive man lying in the street. Arriving officers found the male, who police said appeared to have been dragged by a vehicle.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Lake County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 31-year-old Luis Guzman of Gurnee.
