UPDATE: Man killed in Modesto’s airport neighborhood identified, investigation continues

A man shot and killed in Modesto’s airport neighborhood Friday has been identified by the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office as 46-year-old Bryan Tenbrink, a Modesto resident.

Stanislaus County sheriff’s deputies deputies responded just after 3 p.m. Friday to a report of an argument and shots fired in the 400 block of Kerr Avenue.

Before they arrived, someone put Tenbrink in a vehicle and drove to an ambulance on the 300 block of Kerr. He was pronounced dead there by medical personnel, according to a social media post by the Sheriff’s Office.

Sunday, the Sheriff’s Office stated the investigation was “still active and ongoing.” The office was not immediately available to provide an update on Wednesday afternoon.

A Gofundme was created for Tenbrink, who was called a father of three and grandfather of seven. By Wednesday, it raised $465 of its $10,000 goal.
