Gun owner claims self-defense in TV crew shooting
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A gun owner has told a jury that he feared two crew members with the reality TV show "Repo Games" were going to attack him before he fired his handgun outside his North Las Vegas home in 2011.
Carlos Enrique Barron testified Thursday in his defense, saying he panicked and warned the men who emerged from a black van in front of his driveway that he would kill them before he fired three shots.
The 43-year-old Barron says he shot into the air. No one was wounded.
The men were part of a crew filming down the street.
Prosecutors say Barron was the aggressor and point to a bullet hole in the van.
Barron is being tried on felony assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder charges.
