Guide to the Lancaster Stormers 2024 season

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – It’s a new season and a new beginning for the Lancaster Stormers; the 2024 campaign will mark their first year under the new, rebranded name.

The reigning Atlantic League Champions will begin the season and their search for the “three-peat” on April 25 away from Clipper Magazine Stadium against the Long Island Ducks.

Here’s a guide to the 2024 Lancaster Stormers:

Schedule

The Stormers will have their home opener against the brand-new Hagerstown Flying Boxcars on April 30.

The Stormers will play 63 games at home in their 19th season of competition. Lancaster will play all nine Atlantic League opponents at home this season, which they did not do last year. The stormers will face the Long Island Ducks the most at 30 games followed by the Staten Island Ferry Hawks with 27 and Hagerstown with 21.

This year’s War of the Roses, the series between Lancaster and the York Revolution, will consist of 18 games with 9 being at Clipper Magazine Stadium and 9 in WellSpan Park.

Lancaster Stormers ink two more players for 2024 season

Promotional Games

The Stormers will have weekly events including Saturday fireworks, Wet Nose Wednesday and WellSpan Health Fun Fridays and weekly discounts and specials. They will also host at least 15 school spirit nights and nine youth sports celebration nights.

The weekly schedule is as follows:

Wednesday

  • Wet Nose Wednesday – bring your dog to Clipper Magazine Stadium

  • AAA Central Penn Discount Wednesday – $4 off a Field Box Seat with AAA membership card

Thursday

  • Military Thursday – active military and veterans receive free entrance to the ballpark courtesy of Rhoads Energy

  • Thirsty Thursday – select 12 oz. craft beer for $5 at the Broken Bat Craft Beer Deck

  • Senior Thursday – fans 55 and older get $4 off a Field Box Seat courtesy of A&E Audiology

  • Post-Game Tennis Ball Toss for prizes presented by PA Lottery

Friday

  • WellSpan Health Fun Friday – every Friday WellSpan Park will present an exciting theme, giveaway or entertainment act

  • Post-Game Tennis Ball Toss for prizes presented by PA Lottery

  • Post- Game laser light show

  • Kids Run the Bases presented by Domino’s

Saturday

  • Fireworks presented by Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health

  • Post-Game Tennis Ball Toss for prizes presented by PA Lottery

Sunday

  • Superhero Sunday by Penn State Health – the players will wear superhero jerseys in honor of the superhero kids in the community. There will also be superhero appearances throughout the season.

  • Pre-Game Catch on the Field by Domino’s

  • Pre-Game Player autographs by Domino’s

  • Kids Run the Bases presented by Domino’s

Some of the entertainment planned for WellSpan Health Fun Friday include Steve Max, “The Master of Simon Sez”, the Tiki Boogie Vros and Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act.

There will also be special themed nights throughout the season.

  • May 18 & 19 – Boy Scout and Girl Scout Sleepovers, Reading with the Stormers

  • June 30 – Cyloc’s Birthday

  • July 11 – Camp Day

  • July 12 – 4-H Night

  • July 13 – Taylor Swift tribute

  • July 21 – National Ice Cream Day presented by Kreider Farms

  • Aug. 17 – Annual Farm Show by Kreider Farms

  • Aug. 23 – Halloween in August

  • Aug. 24 – Teddy Bear Toss, Youth Ice Hockey Night, Salute to Philly Night

  • Lebanon County Weekend – Lebanon Bologna Helicopter Drop

There will also be giveaways throughout the season including a Father’s Day item presented by Haller, a knit hat for Christmas in July presented by Giant and a Super Cylo bobblehead presented by Penn Health. The Stormers noted there is more to come.

Lancaster Stormers sign two more to 2024 roster

Two special jersey auctions will take place early in the season, the first on May 3. The proceeds collected from the bidding of game work “Back-to-Back Championship” jerseys will go towards the Children’s Miracle Network. The jerseys worn for the Lebanon County Weekend event, where the Stormers will become the Lebanon Ironmasters for the event, will also be auctioned off.

Ticket Prices

Individual ticket prices typically range from $10-$17. Kids four and under get in for free and kids 14 and under get in free if they wear their youth sports team jersey to the game.

There are options for full-season tickets (63 games) for $560 or $640 per seat to sit in the six rows closest to the field. Half-season tickets are $305 per seat or $365 per seat for the six closest rows. There are also 24, 12, 10 and 5 game ticket options, a Sunday Ticket Plan and a Family 4 Pack Plan.

Last season

According to the Atlantic League, the Stormers had the second-most fan attendance in the league with an average crowd of 4,049 per game.

The Lancaster Stormers were crowned the Atlantic League Champions for the 2023 season, earning back-to-back titles for the first time in the organization’s history. They finished the season 62-68.
