A homeschooled student, Wang enrolled in the Grove school district for high school. Lei Yang, his mother, teaches special education.

Wang credits the support of his church, Trinity Baptist, and the Grove School District for the leadership skills instilled in him and for teaching him to walk out his faith and life’s successes humbly.

“Mr. Kreutz is a truly remarkable educator,” Lei Yang said of the high school principal.

“We appreciate our church and our senior pastor, Robert Carter as he prayed for us and our congregation every week,” said Lei Yang. “His prayers helped our family in many ways and led us through every hard time. Jesus is the power behind us that supports us.”

In addition to many academic pursuits, Wang is active in the church choir and translates sermons and is an accomplished musician at his home church in Grove.
