Ground stop lifted at Chicago’s O’Hare, Midway airports

CHICAGO — A ground stop has been lifted at O’Hare and Midway Airport.

Due to thunderstorms, a full ground stop was issued at both Chicago airports Thursday morning. Traffic experienced a gate hold and taxi delays for up to 30 minutes, according to FAA.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) says flights at Chicago airport were halted with 18 cancellations at O’Hare and 16 at Midway.
