Grey's Anatomy star Scott Speedman has landed his next TV role in new series Teacup.
The Peacock show, which is based on the novel Stinger by Robert McCammon, is also set to star The Handmaid's Tale's Yvonne Strahovski.
According to Variety, the horror thriller series follows “a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive”.

Speedman will take on the role of James Chenoweth in the show alongside Strahovski's character Maggie Chenoweth.
Teacup will be written and executive produced by Ian McCulloch, with Aquaman's James Wan also on board as an executive producer, while EL Katz set to helm the show's first episode.
Fans will recognise Speedman for appearing in Grey's Anatomy as Dr Nick Marsh, a role he briefly originated in 2018 before returning as a main star in 2021. He also appeared in the third season of Netflix's You in the role of Matthew Engler.

Speaking back in 2021, the actor addressed his You character's survival, telling Entertainment Weekly: "That's good, right? That doesn't happen much. We survived, so that's good."
Speedman also appeared in 2022's Crimes of the Future, and spoke to Digital Spy at the time of working on the movie at the same time as Grey's Anatomy.
"I finished this, and three days later I decided to do Grey's," he said. "My last scene was working on my son's body in Crimes of the Future. Two days later, I was in Burbank, in Hollywood, working on this body on Grey's Anatomy with 100 people and huge lights and just a very different tone. It was an odd kind of thing."
Teacup will stream on Peacock.
