Greeneville child granted Make-A-Wish season passes to Dollywood

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) – Make-A-Wish East Tennessee celebrated on Friday with Ireland, an eight-year-old with congenital heart disease who wished for season passes to Dollywood.

Ireland wished for her and her family of six to have season passes to the theme park to ensure fun is a priority during a difficult time.

She and her family were granted their season passes on Dollywood’s opening day.

Ireland and her wish were celebrated at Corky’s Ribs and BBQ in Pigeon Forge, where a special Make-A-Wish East Tennessee-themed dessert was unveiled. This dish will be featured during World Wish Month in April, and a portion of the sales will be donated to Make-A-Wish East Tennessee.

Ireland’s wish was made possible with the help of local donations.
