Great Pumpkin 5K raises money for Main Street Richmond

RICHMOND, Ind. — Main Street Richmond's Great Pumpkin 5K is Oct. 12.

The two-lap race begins and ends at the Starr Gennett Walk of Fame, 201 S. First St., according to a news release.

Registration begins at 6 p.m. Wednesday and closes a 6:45 p.m., with the run/walk to begin at 7 p.m. Cost is $20 and online registration is available.

Funds from the event help Main Street Richmond cover operational expenses. The group works to promote and stabilize the city's Main Street district, focusing on identifying and classifying properties, forming partnerships to stabilize and market properties and supporting current businesses.
