Granville's Bryn Du Mansion opens 20th annual art show

A Granville community staple returns as the 20th Annual Bryn Du Art Show opened Thursday.

Bryn Du received 600 submissions from artists across eight states, and 82 artists were selected with 51 from central Ohio and 10 from Licking County.

Four awards were given during the show's opening:

  • Best in Show: Rod Bouc, of Columbus, for charcoal on paper drawing "Battleship."

  • Excellence: Marty Kotter, of Columbus, for fiber creation "The Gift."

  • Excellence: Weiting Wei, of Powell, for polymer clay sculpture "Sprouts."

  • Ohio Magazine (which selected and will feature the piece): Marie Cottrell, of Granville, for colored pencil drawing "Tiny Toast."

All featured pieces were selected by 2024 juror, Julie Byrne, a Columbus sculptor.

The Bryn Du Art Show is open until March 23, offering a range of hours to accommodate visitors. Detailed schedules of events and additional information can be found at bryndu.com.
