Clean-up of cemetery
Lawncare personnel are asking the families of loved ones at the local cemeteries to please keep the area surrounding the tombstones clear of statues, flower pots, etc., so lawncare can be provided.
Catholic Fraternal Life (CFL Council #60, Grantfork) Plant Sale
The plant sale takes place Saturday, May 11, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bloomers Landscaping & Badass Botanicals, 4603 Hill Road in Grantfork.
Twenty percent of all sales will go towards the CFL.
St. Gertrude Catholic Church
The annual chicken dinner will be held Sunday, June 2, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This will be mainly carryout, but limited dine-in seating will be available.
The menu will be ½ chicken, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, slaw, cake, tea and water.
The cost is $15.
Highland Food Pantry
The food pantry is in need of canned fruit cocktail, cereal, granola bars, canned chicken, chicken, tuna or Hamburger Helper, boxed au gratin or scalloped potatoes, and toothpaste.
Piano Wanted
Grantfork UCC is currently looking for a piano to replace the one in the Educational Building. Call the Church office 618-675-2595 if you have information about locating a piano.
Memorial Day Service
A Memorial Day worship service is planned for Grantfork UCC Cemetery on Monday, May 27, at 10:30 a.m.
