Granite Bay wins Boras Baseball Classic
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) – The Granite Bay baseball team is ranked No. 1 in the Sac-Joaquin Section, and the Grizzlies are the No. 1 team in the Boras Baseball Classic.
On Thursday night, Granite Bay won the tournament championship game, 23-3 over Cardinal Newman.
The game was played at a neutral site, Army Depot Park in Sacramento, and the Grizzlies were the designated home team. They scored eight runs in the top of the first inning (on four hits) en route to the 20-run win.
Granite Bay is now 10-1 this season.
