Lottery officials said the man checked his ticket twice before having someone read the winning numbers — 7, 16, 23, 24 and 35 — back to him. As for his plans, “I’m not sure yet,” he said.

The Circle K store received a $2,000 commission for selling the winning ticket. The odds of winning $200,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 878,399, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.
