Daily takeoffs from Wolf Creek Park and Boating Facility start at 7:15 a.m. and weigh-ins are each day at the BOK Center in downtown Tulsa at approximately 3:30 p.m.

“Many of the amenities (and the love for the sport) that the city of Grove (has) shows at Wolf Creek Park,” said Brent Malone, Grove Convention & Tourism Bureau Director.  “We take great pride in being able to host anglers from all over the country.”

The 41,779-acre lake is an angler’s heaven to largemouth and smallmouth bass and has been the site of many Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (B.A.S.S.) events. Grand Lake provides consistent, world-class bass fishing that keeps bringing B.A.S.S. and recreational anglers from around the globe back to this corner of northeast Oklahoma.

Grand Lake has a long history of hosting the “Super Bowl” of Bass Fishing, including the 2013 Classic and the 2016 Classic where Oklahoma pro Edwin Evers took home the top prize.

“Grand Lake is firmly engrained in the history of B.A.S.S. competition,” said BASS Tournament Manager GL Compton.

B.A.S.S. officials announced Grand Lake is also the site of this year’s Mercury BASS Nation Championship set for Nov. 6-8 with daily takeoffs and weigh-ins at Wolf Creek Park and Boating Facility in Grove.

“We have hosted thousands of fishing events at Wolf Creek Park in Grove, Okla., but when the city of Grove had the chance to host another BASS Nation event we were super-stoked,” Malone said. “Having the Bassmaster Classic in the spring and bookending it with the BASS Nation event in fall. Can it get any better?”

Grand Lake is ranked ninth in the Central Division on Bassmaster Magazine’s annual 100 Best Bass Lakes list and the lake has appeared on every rendition of the list since Bassmaster first began ranking lakes in 2012.

The lake has hosted 11 major BASS events, including most recently a St. Croix Bassmaster Open.
