Grand Forks' Red Lobster appears to have closed

May 13—GRAND FORKS — Grand Forks' Red Lobster appears to have closed Monday, May 13, according to a sign on the door.

The sign reads, "This location is closed. We look forward to serving you at another Red Lobster location in the future."

DelRae Curtis shared on social media that, as a manager at the restaurant, she believes nobody knew the closure was happening.

"Corporate decided to close down this location, among many other ones as well," Curtis wrote. "It is very unfortunate, I started over a year ago and the place wasn't falling apart nor did we have poor management."

Curtis wrote her staff is "at a loss for words" and asked the community to be respectful to those who are devastated by the news.

Curtis told the Herald she loved her job and her staff.

The Herald attempted to reach the Red Lobster by calling its local phone number, but the line was silent. The Herald also reached out to Red Lobster's media address, but did not receive an answer by Monday evening.
