Grain and livestock prices fall in early trading

Wheat, corn, soybeans futures drop in early trading on CBOT; beef and pork prices also lower

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain prices were mostly lower Tuesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery fell 8 cents to $7.335 a bushel; March corn slid 4.25 cents to $6.98 a bushel; March oats were flat at $3.81 a bushel; while March soybeans slid 10.5 cent to $14.21 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures also fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle lost 0.6 cent to $1.2975 a pound; March feeder cattle dropped 1.3 cents to $1.435 a pound; April lean hogs shed 0.72 cent to 85.65 cents a pound.
