Grain futures rise, meat prices fall
Wheat, corn, oats, soybeans futures rise on CBOT; pork, beef prices fall
CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures rose Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for March delivery added 6¼ cents to $7.38½ a bushel; March corn rose 5¼ cents to $7.00½ a bushel; March oats jumped 10 cents to $3.87¾ a bushel; while March soybeans gained 12½ cents to $14.82¾ a bushel.
Beef and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
April live cattle dropped 1.33 cent to $1.251 a pound; March feeder cattle shed 2.45 cents to $1.4072 a pound; April lean hogs dipped 0.1 cent to 82.95 cents a pound.
