Grain futures rise, livestock prices fall

Wheat, corn, oat and soybean futures rise on the CBOT; beef and pork prices fall

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures rose Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery rose 21 cents to $7.0975 a bushel; May corn rose 40 cents to $6.84 a bushel; May oats rose 20.25 cents to $4.11 a bushel; while May soybeans jumped 41 cents to $14.7175 a bushel.

Beef and pork prices fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle slipped 0.05 cent to $1.2255 a pound; May feeder cattle fell 1.38 cent to $1.4042 a pound; June lean hogs fell 0.37 cent to 92.15 cents a pound.
