Grain futures mostly rise, livestock prices fall

Wheat, corn and soybean futures rise on the CBOT; beef prices fall

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures mostly rose Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery rose 4 cents to $6.83 a bushel; September corn rose 7 cents to $5.6075 a bushel; September oats slipped 0.25 cent to $3.5625 a bushel; while August soybeans rose 7.25 cents to $14.72 a bushel.

Beef and pork prices fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle slipped 0.15 cent to $1.2192 a pound; August feeder cattle fell 0.43 cent to $1.5012 a pound; August lean hogs fell 0.43 cent to 95.27 cents a pound.
