Grain futures fall, beef prices rise

Wheat, corn, oat and soybean futures fall on the CBOT; beef prices rise

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures fell Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery fell 2.5 cents to $6.98 a bushel; July corn fell 11.5 cents to $6.6175 a bushel; July oats slipped 0.5 cent to $3.9425 a bushel; while July soybeans fell 4.25 cents to $14.9325 a bushel.

Beef prices rose, while pork prices fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle rose 1.60 cent to $1.2160 a pound; August feeder cattle rose 2.50 cents to $1.4692 a pound; July lean hogs fell 0.50 cent to 99.75 cents a pound.
