Grace Lyons hits three home runs as OU softball run-rules Wichita State
NORMAN — Grace Lyons became the latest bombardier for the OU softball team Tuesday night.
The senior infielder hit three home runs, including a two-run, walk-off homer in the bottom of the fifth inning, to give the No. 1-ranked Sooners a 10-1 run-rule victory over Wichita State at Marita Hynes Field.
Lyons, who now has 12 homers on the season, finished with five RBIs to help OU notch its 25th run-rule victory of the spring. Oklahoma is 30-0 overall.
Wichita State (17-11) took a 1-0 lead in the first inning behind a single and an error. It was all Sooners after that. OU freshman pitcher Jordy Bahl improved to 13-0, striking out 11. The Shockers managed just three hits.

Tiare Jennings, who had a dramatic walk-off home run in Sunday's 3-1 win over Baylor, added a homer in the bottom of the first inning Tuesday to tie the game 1-1. She finished the game with two hits and three RBIs.
The Sooners next play 6:30 p.m. Friday in the first of a two-game set against Alabama-Birmingham in Norman.
