Governor Shapiro discusses budget proposal in Lancaster County

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – Governor Shapiro was at New Holland Agriculture’s Lancaster County campus on Wednesday touting his recent budget proposal.

Shapiro’s budget invests $10.3 million in agriculture and conservation funds to help farmers be more efficient and productive.

“If you want to think about being more competitive, if you want to think about Pennsylvania wanting to lead the nation more, you have to think about our farms, and you have to think about the companies that support our farms,” said Shapiro.

Regarding economic development, Shapiro says Ohio invests seven times more than Pennsylvania.
