Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders appoints Westrock CEO Scott Ford to University of Arkansas Board of Trustees

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders has appointed Scott Ford to the University of Arkansas Board of Trustees.
Ford is replacing Morril Harriman on the board. He is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Westrock Coffee, as well as previously being the president and CEO of Alltel from 2002 to 2009.
Before joining Alltel, Ford worked closely with Stephens Group Chairman Jackson T. Stephens and worked in the investment banking division at Merrill Lynch. He is a University of Arkansas alumni with a 1984 B.S.B.A. in finance.

The governor pointed to Ford’s business experience as an asset.
“I am proud to appoint Scott Ford, a highly respected, accomplished entrepreneur, to serve on the Board of Trustees at the University of Arkansas,” Sanders said. “From Rwanda all the way to Conway, Arkansas, he has helped attract businesses, jobs, and opportunities.”
“It is a great honor and privilege to be appointed by Governor Sanders to serve on the University of Arkansas Board of Trustees,” Ford said. “Governor Sanders puts the people of her state first, empowering all Arkansans to get off the sidelines and into the workforce.“

Ford’s term will expire on March 1, 2034.
