Google Fiber coming to Stallings, new Huntersville development

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Googe Fiber is coming to two more Charlotte-area communities, the company announced this week.

On Monday, the web-giant’s internet provider was part of a groundbreaking at a Huntersville apartment complex. The service will be installed at Hambright Junction at the corner of Alexandriana Road and Statesville Road (U.S. 21).

Then on Tuesday, it was announced that Google Fiber will be available in Stallings.

“We love a town that values excellent customer service so highly they celebrate it by giving out ‘Caught Ya’ awards — we’re aiming to earn our own soon enough,” the company said in a Facebook post.

Google Fiber first came to Charlotte back in 2015 and city leaders were impressed with the plans they had for connecting people to fiber internet.  It has since expanded to Matthews and Concord.

To check for fiber service, Google has set up a locator online here.
