Goodyear names new board member

AKRON, Ohio (AP) -- The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has added John McGlade, chairman, president and CEO of Air Products & Chemicals Inc., to its board.

McGlade, 58, has served as president and chief executive officer of hydrogen supplier Air Products since 2007. He has served as chairman of the board since 2008 and as president since 2006. McGlade also serves on the board of directors of the American Chemistry Council and the executive committee of the Council on Competitiveness. He is a trustee of Lehigh University.

The election of McGlade brings the size of Goodyear's board to 12 members.

Goodyear, based in Akron, Ohio, is one of the world's largest tire companies.
