Goodwill to host hiring event with over 1200 open positions in Phenix City on March 19

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WRBL) – Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers plans to host a hiring event featuring over 1200 available part-time and full-time positions in Phenix City on March 19.

The job fair is scheduled to be held at Chattahoochee Valley Community College located at 2602 College Dr. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Goodwill says over 40 employers will be at the event including the Russell County Sheriff’s Office, Walmart Distribution Center, East Alabama Health, Buffalo Rock and Hughston Clinic.

Besides offering a chance for locals to browse multiple job openings, Goodwills says most employers are starting pay at $15 and higher.

Goodwill advises participants to “come dressed for success” and be ready for interviews with multiple resume copies on hand. Locals are also encouraged to take advantage of Goodwill’s Career Center in Phenix City where free career readiness courses are available.
