Goodwill in Beckley is looking for people to hire
BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) – Are you looking for work? If so, the new Goodwill location in Beckley is hiring.
On Thursday, May 2nd, 2424, Goodwill Industries of Kanawha Valley hosted a hiring event. The event started at 10 in the morning and lasted until 2 in the afternoon.
Those who are hired will be starting at 11 dollars and 75 cents an hour plus paid training and benefits.
New River Community & Technical College host Skills and Trade Expo
Jamon Schmidt, Director of Marketing and Communications, said Goodwill is a place for long-term and short-term employment.
“We’re an employer that isn’t just looking for people who wanna stay here. If you wanna stay here for the rest of your time working, cool. If you also wanna move forward, we’re sometimes a stepping stone for a lot of individuals because we offer employment services.,” said Schmidt to 59News.
The new Goodwill location is on 4283 Robert C Byrd Drive in Beckley.
The official opening is on Thursday, June 6th.
