Gogglebox star shares throwback snap with '80s perm

A photo of Gogglebox star Jenny Newby rocking an 80's perm has recently resurfaced online.
The reality TV star is best known for appearing on the hit Channel 4 series alongside best friend Lee Riley.
Lee cheekily shared the throwback snap of his pal back in 2021, which this week has been picked up again by media outlets.
"She’s going to go mad at me 🤣😂🤣😂 Jenny with the 80’S perm 😘x," read the photo caption, shared on the duo's joint Instagram profile.

At the time, fans were quick to compliment Jenny for her perm, which was a particularly popular hairstyle trend in the eighties.
"What a stunning picture," wrote one fan, with another commenting: "Ooh sexy lady".
One other Instagram follower compared Jenny's former look to Scottish singer Barbara Dickson OBE, who had a perm at the height of her fame in the eighties.

Jenny later got revenge on her friend, sharing a throwback photo of Lee last September in a birthday tribute post.
"Told you I’d get you back 😂🤣😂A big happy birthday to you lee have a fantastic day filming with me 🤣😂🤣🤣🤣❤️😘xx," wrote Jenny's caption, alongside a photo of Lee as a schoolboy.
Fellow Gogglebox star Ellie Warner joked that Lee had "not changed a bit" in her comment left on the post.
Jenny and Lee have been a fixture on the Gogglebox sofa since 2014 and are part of the current series' cast. The two have been friends since the 1990s when Lee was a regular customer at Jenny's pub.
The two carry out their Gogglebox filming duties at Lee's caravan in Hull, which Lee shares with his long-term partner Steve. Meanwhile, Jenny is married to husband Ray.
Gogglebox airs Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4 and is available to stream on demand after.
