Friday's (May 17) episode of Gogglebox saw the cast react to Bridgerton season three.

During the premiere episode of the Regency drama's third instalment, which landed on Netflix on Thursday (May 16), the TV watchers were quick to share their love for the swoon-worthy series.

"Bit of a guilty pleasure this one is," admitted Baasit Siddiqui, with Ellie Warner adding: "I'm buzzing that Bridgerton is back."

Amira Rota commented: "This is the romance I've been waiting for. Forget the first season, forget the second season, it's all about Penelope and Colin."

In reference to the show's infamous debutante presentation, in which Queen Charlotte assesses the season's aspiring brides, Danielle said: "Do you know what? I would love to have been presented as a debutante ready for marriage."

"In Kettering," responded her friend Daniella, before the pair erupted into a fit of laughter.

The anticipated third season of the hit period drama focuses on the friends-to-lovers relationship between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), aka Lady Whistledown herself.

The first half of the series, which is based on the novels by Julia Quinn, has already secured an impressive score of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics praising Coughlan's performance as the series' leading lady.

Following the cliffhanger ending of the season's first batch of episodes, fans will have to wait until next month to see what's next for Pen and Colin — and whether anyone in the Ton will learn of Penelope's secret identity.

Tonight's instalment of Gogglebox also saw the professional TV watchers tune into the 2024 Eurovision final, as well as react to the latest episodes of Love Triangle Australia, Narrow Escapes and Double The Money.

Gogglebox airs and streams on Channel 4.
