God’s Pit Crew sending more relief supplies, volunteers to Texas Panhandle

DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — God’s Pit Crew is sending additional relief to the Texas Panhandle as the state continues to battle the deadly Smokehouse Creek Wildfire.

After sending relief to Amarillo during the first week of March, God’s Pit Crew will be sending a second semi-load containing bottled water, Gatorade, and additional relief supplies. Blessing buckets, containing non-perishable food, water, hygiene products, first-aid kits, Bibles, and handwritten notes of encouragement will also be sent.

All items are being sent to the First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch, Texas (FSBC) and will be distributed by officials in the area.

“We continue to pray for everyone who has been affected by the horrifying scene out in Texas,” remarked Randy Johnson, God’s Pit Crew President. “We hope our efforts and materials not only help the victims as they move to recover but also the first responders and all those who are working hard to contain this situation.”?

Also, volunteers from God’s Pit Crew’s Immediate Disaster Response team will be leaving Danville with equipment to the Panhandle on Wednesday, March 13. This team will help to clear debris and demolish any structures impacted by wildfire.

Crews plan to stay in the area until Sunday, March 24.
