GMB's Piers Morgan furious with one royal wedding guest

From Digital Spy

If you're in the habit of chewing gum – particularly in church – then beware the wrath of Piers Morgan.

Today's edition of Good Morning Britain focused heavily on Saturday's royal wedding, which saw Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle tie the knot.

But while the rest of us may remember the beautiful dress or Britain's Got Talent star Sheku Kanneh-Mason performing the cello during the service, it seems all Piers could focus on was the behaviour of the guests, and one guest in particular: David Beckham.

Piers appeared to hold some pretty strong opinions and lashed out at both Beckhams, even calling Victoria a "sourpuss". But it was David who came under fire the most for his gum habit – and Piers brought it up a LOT during the show.

According to the presenter, David will never get a knighthood if he carries on chewing gum in public, with Piers labelling it inappropriate.

"In the old days you'd be taken to the tower for that kind of disrespect," he added.

Viewers definitely noticed how much Piers was talking about gum:

His co-host Susanna Reid said she couldn't see a problem with people chewing gum in church, which led Piers to claim that she wouldn't mind because she is "from Croydon":

But many viewers suggested that the only reason Piers was being so frosty was because he had wished he had been at the wedding himself:

Piers recently claimed that he was the person who sent Meghan Markle on her first date with Prince Harry, posting a photo of his local pub to Instagram.

"Two years ago, I took Meghan Markle to my local pub for a drink (she had dirty martinis, I had Harvey's best bitter) & then put her in a cab to her first date with Harry," he wrote.

"That night, none of the locals knew who the hell she was. It appears they know now..."

Better luck next time Piers...

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6.30am on ITV.
