Glenbeigh receives 2023 Press Ganey Human Experience Guardian of Excellence Award

Apr. 23—MORGAN TOWNSHIP — Glenbeigh, a Cleveland Clinic affiliate, announced Monday afternoon that it had been named a 2023 Human Experience Guardian of Excellence Award winner by Press Ganey, a global leader in healthcare experience solutions and services.

The award honors hospitals who have reached the 95th percentile for patient experience.

The Glenbeigh lecture hall was filled with faculty and staff from Glenbeigh, ACMC and the Cleveland Clinic.

"I stand in front of you today, honored and extremely humbled to be a caregiver on your team," said Glenbeigh President Rick Trice. "I not only get to witness miracles happening with our patients on a daily basis, but the miracle of caregivers providing the most professional treatment and compassionate care possible."

ACMC President and CEO Leonard Stepp credited the Glenbeigh staff.

"It's not easy work, so sincere congratulations for everybody here," Stepp said. "They made this happen."

Trice's presentation included statistics showing that Glenbeigh reached 92.78% in the "Likelihood to Recommend" category. The scores also showed that Glenbeigh ranked in the 98th percentile for substance use disorder treatment services.

Press Ganey administers surveys to patients to compile this data.

"Patients give very candid feedback about many different aspects of their stay," said Cleveland Clinic Associate Chief Experience Officer Judith Wolfe.

"From the quality of the doctors and nurses, to the food, to the services provided. They get very granular data. This represents an overall experience that's reflective of the top one percent of all hospitals among their client base."

Wolfe graciously presented the award to the caregivers at Glenbeigh.

According to a press release, Press Ganey works with more than 41,000 healthcare facilities in its mission to reduce patient suffering and enhance caregiver resilience to improve their overall safety, quality and experience of care.

"This award symbolizes Glenbeigh's commitment to raising the bar for healthcare standards, inspiring a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the human experience," said Press Ganey CEO and chairman Patrick Ryan in a release. "It underscores the importance of placing patients, healthcare professionals, and industry partners at the core of our work, fostering a future where exceptional healthcare experiences are not just goals, but tangible achievements."

The devoted faculty and staff have made this achievement possible, who demonstrate a sincere commitment to helping their patients.

"We're very fortunate to have our caregivers, because they are very passionate about what we do here," said Director of Nursing Camille Zalar. "It's something that we've never received in the past so we're ready to celebrate."

"It's a reflection of how dedicated our staff is," said Director of Operations Donald Reed. "We put a lot of work into developing a positive culture here."

"Our mission aligns with what makes Glenbeigh a Guardian of Excellence organization: to provide the highest quality healthcare to those in need of alcohol and drug treatment services and to support ongoing recovery efforts," Trice said.
