Glee star Lea Michele has revealed her baby's sex with a sweet post on Mother's Day.

The star, who played Rachel Berry on the musical show, announced in March that she was pregnant with her second child with husband Zandy Reich, and has now revealed that they are expecting a daughter.

“The most beautiful Mother's Day today, holding my son who made me a mama…and carrying my daughter. 💕” wrote Michele on Instagram, accompanying a photo as she showed off her baby bump.

Michele and Reich tied the knot back in 2019 after a couple of years of dating, before welcoming a baby boy, Ever, a year later. In April 2023, Michele detailed Ever's health journey after he had been hospitalised, saying she wanted to "break down and cry."

"As parents we have to be strong for our kids. But sometimes you just want to break down and cry. (Hidden in the bathroom or closet is usually best. Today I chose the hospital bathroom)," she wrote at the time.

"These hard times show you truly what matters and is important in life and how much we have to be grateful for. It's been hard to say the least but our boy is such a champ and is going to be ok. But it still hurts."

Despite Glee concluding in 2015, Michele was in hot water in recent years after some of her co-stars accused her of being unpleasant to work with, with Samantha Ware saying her time on the show was a "living hell."

"I think these past two years have been so important for everybody to just sit back and reflect," said Michele in an apology video. "I did a lot of personal reach-outs. But the most important thing was for everybody to just take a step back.

"More than anything, I'm so grateful to have this opportunity to apply the things that I've learned over the past ten-plus years in a positive way… The conversations that I've had behind the scenes with some people were incredibly healing and very eye-opening for me."
