At a glance: Oil prices up for 1st time this week

NEW YORK (AP) — The price of oil gained almost $2 per barrel Thursday after three straight days of declines. It was oil's biggest one-day gain since Aug 3.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange:

— Benchmark oil gained $1.87 to finish at $91.85 per barrel.

— Heating oil rose 5 cents to close at $3.15 per gallon.

— Wholesale gasoline gained 6.3 cents to finish at $3.14 per gallon.

— Natural gas added 8.2 cents to end at $3.297 per 1,000 cubic feet.

On the ICE Futures exchange in London:

Brent crude gained $1.97 to close at $112.01.
