"Gossip Girl" star Blake Lively was recently named the official "Ambassador" for Chanel's new Mademoiselle handbag line. How great of a gig is that?
While many might aspire to be political ambassadors... I love the idea of this whole fashion ambassador thing. If that makes me shallow, then so be it, I'm OK with that!
What exactly is a brand ambassador? The title alone sounds so regal! According to Wikipedia "brand ambassadors serve as the face of their client company at promotional events. They offer the company a chance to make a good impression on prospects. An effective brand ambassador is one who is interested in the product they are promoting, who can easily connect with the product."
That makes Blake the perfect choice! Talking about connecting with the product - she's often worn Chanel and looks amazing in it.
The 23-year-old actress was introduced to Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld by Vogue editor Anna Wintour last July during couture week in Paris. She will appear in an ad campaign for the bags, which was photographed by the designer. Lucky girl!
I always read about those fashion "It Girls" who are "ambassador" and "muses" to designers. I know a lot of very stylish people and quite a few in the fashion industry and not one of them is a muse or an ambassador. Maybe they just need a fashion fairy godmother like Anna Wintour to help them out!
How cool would it be to be an ambassador or muse? Do they make business cards for that?! Think about it - just your very presence and style inspires someone and they make awesome clothes for you to wear and be seen in. How many times have we struggled with what to wear and here is someone making the choice for you with clothes that are custom made just for you?
