Weakest Link host Ranganathan recently revealed he had begun filming for the fourth series. he shared on Instagram: "The Weakest Link is back. And to celebrate I took a photo in the studio with all of my mates. Fourth series starts later this year on BBC One and iPlayer."

He said in a statement about the new series: “It’s really a delight to be part of the BBC One Saturday night experience. I once again look forward to taking the credit if it goes well and blaming the format if it doesn’t.”

It averaged 8.3 million viewers across its following 10 episodes and will be back for a second series, along with a Celebrity Gladiators special.
