'Girls' Star Talks About 'My First Time' Voting in Obama Ad

The 26-year-old star of the HBO hit series “Girls” has a pitch to the younger crowd in a new campaign ad for President Obama that contains innuendo aplenty.

In a minute-long spot, Lena Dunham says, “Your first time shouldn't be with just anybody. It should be with a great guy.”

She later says that one should vote for someone who “cares about whether you get health insurance, and specifically whether you get birth control.”

She concludes: “My first time voting was amazing. It was a line in the sand. Before I was a girl, now I was a woman. I went to the polling station, I pulled back the curtain, I voted for Barack Obama.”

Some Republicans appear not to be amused.
