Gibson Gives and FirstBank Amphitheater raise $120,000 for Williamson public schools

Since 2002, the non-profit division of the legendary music brand Gibson has worked to raise funds for music education initiatives across Williamson County.

For their third annual guitar auction, Gibson Gives partnered with FirstBank Amphitheater to raise funds for Williamson County Public Schools.

“We stand with FirstBank Amphitheater in our efforts to support Williamson County schools, recognizing the invaluable role of music and arts education in shaping young minds and fostering growth for every student,” said Erica Krusen, Gibson Gives global executive director.

This year, both organizations brought their selection of 22 signed guitars to Music Icons Auctions. The guitars, signed by a variety of stars, including Willie Nelson, Goo Goo Dolls and Tears For Fears, helped raise the most money in the program's history.

“We are thrilled to once again to partner with Gibson to benefit the music arts program in Williamson County,” said Rick McEachern, owner of FirstBank Amphitheater.

This year’s final total of $120,000 was a significant increase from the past two years of the event. More than $17,000 was raised in their inaugural year. Last year, they raised $33,000.

“This is another record fund raising year with participation from the legendary performers to help support the next generation of music talent,” McEachern said.

Gibson will return to Franklin in September as a partner for the 10th anniversary of Pilgrimage Festival. At last year’s festival, they hosted a booth with Musicians on Call to record over a year’s worth of content for their in-room video performances for patients.
