Memorial Day isn’t just an excuse for a three-day weekend. It’s a solemn remembrance of the Americans who gave their lives for the freedoms we all cherish.

For those who don’t know the difference, Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day do not celebrate the same thing. Veteran’s Day is designated to honor all who have served in the military; however, Memorial Day is reserved for tribute to those who died while serving in the American armed forces.

Memorial Day is a solemn day of remembrance for everyone who has died serving in the American armed forces. The holiday, originally known as Decoration Day, started after the Civil War to honor the Union and Confederate dead.#memorialday #army #news #troops #t
