Giants re-sign DT Rogers

The Giants re-signed DT Shaun Rogers on Thursday, the team announced.

The 13-year veteran joined the team last April, but was diagnosed with a blood clot in his leg in the preseason and placed on injured reserve on Aug. 31.

Rogers has played in 156 games with 128 starts, spending seven seasons with the Lions, three with the Browns and one with the Saints. He has 37½ sacks, 27 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and nine fumble recovers in his career to go along with 14 blocked field goals.
