Giants DT among victims of alleged thefts

New York Giants defensive tackle Shaun Rogers is among the victims in a string of high-end jewelry thefts in Florida that led to the arrest of a woman in New York on Saturday, according to ESPNNewYork.com.

Subhanna Beyah was arrested on fugitive from justice charges in Queens, with the 25-year-old wanted for multiple larcenies.

Rogers, 34, reported $440,000 worth of missing jewelry from a hotel safe in Miami in March. According to the police report from the incident, he said he met a woman at Club Liv and she was among a group that return to his hotel room around 7 a.m. When he woke up shortly after noon, his friends were still in the room but the woman was gone and he was unable to open the room's safe.

According to the report, Rogers found "most of his valuables" missing when hotel security helped him open the safe, and claimed missing are $100,000 diamond earrings, a $100,000 watch, a $60,000 watch, a $50,000 gold necklace, a $70,000 diamond Cuban necklace and three gold bracelets worth $60,000.

Beyah was arraigned early Sunday in Queens on a fugitive warrant.
