Giant spear found at double-murder scene at Santa Ana business park

SANTA ANA, Calif. - A gruesome discovery remains under investigation after a man and a woman were found dead at a business park in Santa Ana.

The Santa Ana Police Department responded to a call in the 1200 block of East Chestnut Avenue a little before 4:30 p.m. on May 2.

According to Santa Ana Police, a female called 911 saying her boyfriend stabbed her and her uncle. When officers arrived on scene, they located three people suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper torso. They say the suspect had a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The suspect was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

SUGGESTED:

Police say the woman, later identified as 25-year-old Jordan Block, and her uncle, 64-year-old Brian Martin, were pronounced dead at the scene.

They were both stabbed and shot, police said Friday morning.

The uncle was apparently living in the unit and had a collection of edge weapons, including the giant spear that was found. It's unclear if the spear was used in the crime.

Homicide Detectives are currently investigating the incident and believe this was a possible murder-suicide.
