Ghostface Killah & Method Man Kick it With James Comey On ‘Colbert’
Method Man and Ghostface Killah are determined to get back their rare album Once Upon a Time in Shaolin and have enlisted an unusual source, former-FBI director, James Comey.
The guys crossed paths Tuesday (April 17) as they were all special guests on Late Show. Comey hit the ground running to promote his much-talked about book on Trump, “A Higher Loyalty” while the Wu-Tang legends starred in a skit with Colbert and the Keebler-cookie elf version of Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
In an Instagram post that caption that reads “Me and my brother, Method Man, working on getting that album back from the feds,” Killah joked Comey might be the whistleblower to get the album back. The album is actually in the hands of the government since Martin “Pharma Bro” Shkreli was sentenced to seven years in prison for defrauding investors out of more than $10 million. During his bizarre time in the limelight, he purchased the Wu-Tang LP for $2 million.

“That album belongs to the people,” Method Man said to Keebler Sessions (voiced perfectly by Stephen Colbert). Keebler-cookie Sessions had plenty of Wu-Tang puns. “Sorry bi**hes, I’m not handing over anything for free. As you can see from my profile, I’m filled with C.R.E.A.M. Cash Rules Everything Around Me,” he said.
The photo above speaks to the surreal year Comey has had. After being fired last year from the Trump administration, Comey channeled his inner-Rico from Paid In Full by giving the grand jury a “couple cats” in Washington, DC. A rare act of snitching that was condoned by many due to the idea of “the enemy of your enemy being your friend.” Either way, this is a win for hip-hop and for Comey’s rebranding.
