German man allegedly flew to Lancaster County to meet teen for sex

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A 20-year-old German man has been arrested and accused of traveling to Pennsylvania for sexual relations with a teenager.

The charges filed against Erik Weidling by Susquehanna Regional Police accuse him of partaking in sex acts multiple times against a 15-year-old girl from Feb. 29 to March 8, police say.

Police said in the criminal complaint that they learned Weidling had traveled from Germany to have sexual intercourse with the teen who lives in East Donegal Township. The girl was allegedly his online girlfriend, and he knew she was a minor.

Wielding had gotten a passport to the United States earlier in February and that he intended to return to Germany on March 9, police say.

According to the complaint, Weidling knew the girl’s school schedule and her mother’s work schedule so he would visit when the parent was gone and the two would engage in sexual acts, police stated.
