Georgia man accused of northern New Mexico murder pleads not guilty
COLFAX COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A Georgia man accused of killing a stranger at a northern New Mexico rest stop has pled not guilty to his charges. According to police, a couple from Colorado stopped at a rest stop on I-25 in Colfax County last month to use the bathroom.

Police say when the wife came out, she saw their car was gone and her husband was on the ground after being stabbed to death. The car was stopped by New Mexico State Police in San Miguel County where they say Dorien Ray was driving. Police also found a car reported stolen out of the Denver area at the rest stop and believe Ray obtained it by carjacking someone there. Police believe Ray then stabbed the man at the rest stop.
He pled not guilty to first-degree murder, armed robbery, and unlawful taking of a motor vehicle in the New Mexico case.
