Georgia freshman defensive back Latavious Brini has been arrested after his alleged use of a fake $100 bill at a pet store over the summer.

The charge Brini was arrested on is a felony. From the Macon Telegraph:

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department alleges that Brini used a fake $100 bill to purchase $8 worth of merchandise and received $92 in change on July 14. It wasn’t realized until later that the currency used was fake after the bank the store uses rejected it.

An Athens-Clarke County police representative stated that at the time of the transaction, Brini opened a rewards card with Pet Supplies Inc. under a false identity.

He went back to the store approximately a week later and used his debit card. He was then identified as the customer who allegedly used the counterfeit money. He was arrested Tuesday evening and posted bond later that night, according to the Telegraph.

Brini is redshirting in 2017 and is the second Bulldog to be arrested since the SEC Championship Game. Linebacker Natrez Patrick was arrested in the hours after the game on a misdemeanor and reportedly paid a fine.

Brini was a three-star recruit in the class of 2017 according to Rivals. He was the No. 39 cornerback in the country and the No. 77 player in the state of Florida.

The No. 3 Bulldogs play No. 2 Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1. The College Football Playoff semifinal will determine who goes to the National Championship Game on Jan. 8.
