Oh no. George Lucas was at a premiere last night talking about Indiana Jones 5, and he said the folIowing: "I really haven't found the MacGuffin yet. I mean, I know what it's about, but I just have to find a MacGuffin that fits into the arena we're working in." Please let the MacGuffin be some forever unfindable thing! Not in the movie, in real life. George Lucas and the Neverending Quest for the Next MacGuffin, and he'll never find it so there will never be an Indiana Jones 5. Please let that happen, because we're not sure the damage done by Crystal Skull can ever be repaired if Lucas piles another pile of stink on top of the franchise. So please, whoever has the precious MacGuffin, hide it well! Hide it with your life! With all of our lives! [Vulture]

Here's a first teaser trailer for the new completely necessary movie Men in Black III, another alien action comedy, this one involving time travel. Basically Will Smith goes back in time and tries to convince his past self not to do Seven Pounds. "A jellyfish!!" he yells. "A freaking jellyfish!" Meanwhile, Tommy Lee Jones goes on his own adventure to undo Man of the House. It's all very dramatic and then very meta when the last time jump is to go convince each other not to do Men in Black III.

The LA Film Critics Association gave out their year-end awards over the weekend and named The Descendants the best film of the year. Not surprising! It's been at the top of many lists. (Ours will be out next week.) The surprise was that Korean actress Yun Jung-hee won the Best Actress prize, over such Yankee favorites as Meryl Streep and Glenn Close. Especially confusing because it's not like there's a lot of Korean culture in Los Angeles or anything! Totally weird. [EW]

Both The Amazing Spider-Man and The Dark Knight Rises have released new posters and they are... basically the same? Well, they're at least both kind of black and white and serious and dramatic. The really sad thing is that Batman seems to have broken his costume and Andrew Garfield is all the way up there on that wall so how are we going to get to him? Come back down, Andrew! And fix your poor costume, Batman. Or have Alfred do it for you. And, look, fix it or not, you can't just leave it on the ground like that. That big guy there can't even look at it it's such a mess. Sheesh, you save the city from a few costumed maniacs and all of a sudden you think you can be as big a litter bug as you want. [Deadline]
Eeeeeee. Sorry guys, but we're going to be freaking out about the new season of Game of Thrones until it premieres in April, so just go ahead and deal with it. The latest freak out is that HBO has released another promo, this one featuring the previously unseen Stannis Baratheon, here played by a well-cast Stephen Dillane. Lots of moody imagery and moody words and ohhh boy we can't wait. Sure not that much happens in A Clash of Kings, well not compared to Storm of Swords anyway, but it'll still be great. How could it not be great? It's one of the best shows on TV.
