Deputies charge Geismar man with attempted murder, sexual battery

ASCENSION PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) – The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Geismar man on several charges following a domestic violence report.

According to the sheriff’s office, Reggie Holland, 54, was charged with attempted second-degree murder, aggravated second-degree battery, false imprisonment and second-degree sexual battery.

Deputies said they responded to a call along Highway 73 in Geismar Thursday morning and learned Holland, “battered a female subject.” The victim was reportedly severely injured and sent to the hospital.
