Gas prices in W.Va. up nearly 8 cents

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Average gasoline prices in West Virginia are up nearly 8 cents in the past week.

AAA East Central says the price for a gallon of regular, unleaded gas is at $3.51 per gallon. That's 3 cents higher than the national average.

Prices range from $3.39 in Huntington to $3.57 in Morgantown.

The state's gas prices are still about 19 cents lower than a year ago.
